LGBTQ+ Mental Health Resources

Nov. 22, 2022

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ+) community represents a diverse range of identities and expressions of gender and sexual orientation. In the United States, individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, and bisexual are more than twice as likely than people who identify as heterosexual to experience a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety. Transgender individuals are four times more likely. Those in the LGBTQ+ community are also five times more likely to attempt suicide.
